Thecocodium quadratum medusa, from Florida, Western Atlantic
Description Note that Thecocodium quadratum is a polyp based species and the adult medusa has never been raised from the polyp. The oldest stages obtained by Jarms (1987) correspond well with the present medusa, except that the gonds were not yet formed (yellow gonads in present photo).
