The article provides a useful overview on the concept of carrying capacity and hightlights the operational potentials and limits of this concept for the context of coastal management. The ilustration used is not very useful, a representation of beach tourism in a more natural context might better highlight the role of the interaction between human uses and coastal ecosystem for the concept.
