Taxonomy Lang originally proposed Polyarthra as a suborder of the Harpacticoida. The composition of the Polyarthra is identical to that of the order Canuelloida proposed by Khodami et al. (2017) in a paper that was subsequently retracted. However, the availability of the name Canuelloida for the order is confirmed under the terms of Declaration 46, recently passed by the ICZN. [details]
