A new species Carinoma uschakovi sp. n. (= Carinoma sp. Ushakov, 1928) from the White and Barents seas is described. This species possesses a lacunar network in the precerebral region, mucle crosses are well developed, the plate of longitudinal musculature between the rhynchocoel and the foregut is very thin, numerous longitudinal fibers penetrate the inner circular muscle layer of the body wall, and the rhynchodeum is lined with glandular epithelium. The internal morphology of Stratolitonemertes sachalinica Korotkevitsch, 1982 paratype is redescribed. The genus Statolitonemertes differs from Carinoma only in the presence of statocysts and the entry of rhynchocoel vessels into the cephalic lacunae. The family Statolitonemenrtidae Korotkevitsch, 1982 is synonymized with Carinomidae.
