Description Description: Arm length a little under to ten times the disc diameter. Radial shields and aboral and oral sides of the disc scales covered by the trifid stumps. Oral shields diamond-shaped, slightly wider than long, rounded lateral edges. Adoral plates large, meeting in the interradius. Aboral arm plates less than twice as wide as long, proximal edge straight, distal edge convex, rounded lateral angles, succesives ones broadly contiguous, bearing granules. Oral arm plates as wide as long, proximal and distal edges strraight, lateral ones convex. Single pointed tentacle scale. Eight thorny arm spines, blunt on the tip, the fourth from above longest (over twice the length of an arm segment), the lowest bear a sharp hook. Habitat: coral reef (Balinsky, 1957). [details]
