A study of the genus Coquimba Ohmert, 1968 from Recent sediments of the Brazilian Continental Shelf has revealed three new species, Coquimba ornellasae, Coquimba punctata and Coquimba alata and also the presence of Coquimba tenuireticulata Kotzian, 1982, and Coquimba bertelsae Sanguinetti, Ornellas & Coimbra, 1991.
