Etymology The species is named in honor of Dr. Maria Cristina Gambi, friend of the authors, as a tribute to her contribution to the knowledge of the polychaetes. [details]
Habitat On Posidonia oceanica beds, mainly on rhizomes and "matte morte", and on hard bottom communities, among photophile algae. [details]
Specimen Holotype at the Musée National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris (MNHN POLY TYPE 752). Paratypes also deposited at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, USA (USNM 142027) and at the Musée Océanographique de Monaco (MOM 186-012). [details]
