Etymology Not stated. Assumed to be named Armandia robertianae after Roberta Gunther, McIntosh's youngest sister, an artist who produced many illustrations for McIntosh, but died prematurely [details]
Taxonomy Placement uncertain, but tentatively retained as a synonym (fide Fauvel, 1927) of Polyophthalmus pictus, although McIntosh also recorded Polyophthalmus pictus in the same works. [details]
