Type locality Gulf of Tadjoura, Djibouti. In the first 1906 publication Gravier mentions he has a large number of specimens from the following localities: golfe de Tadjourah, Marabout, Mission, Pascal, Bonhoure, Ormieres, Pingouin, Meteore, iles Musha. In the 1908 publication the same information is repeated but it is clearer that all the localities are in gulf of Tadjoura (current English spelling), Djibouti.
