Authority Hartman in her 1959 Catalogue (p.54) recorded the derivation of this name as Strøm, 1768, in Malmgren, 1865. Note the punctuation and the date. This was evidently her shorthand indication she had not seen the original, only the inclusion in the H. imbricata synonymy of Malmgren. She DID NOT record the name as "Strøm in Malmgren, 1865" which would be a quite different usage. [details]
