A new species of Spionidae (Annelida: Polychaeta) , Microspio multidentata, is described in this paper based on four specimens collected from the intertidal zone of the coast of the East China Sea at Changhe, Fujian Province, Southeast China. The new species can be distinguished from the other known species of Microspio Mesnil, 1896 by the presence of the multidentate neuropodial hooks and the absence of the notopodial lamellae and notopodial setae on setiger 1. This is the first report of adult Microspio from Chinese waters.
