A giant serpulid tube from the Cenomanian of Normandy - the largest specimen of serpulid that the authors have ever seen - belongs to a new species which is described here: Pyrgopolon (Septenaria) marechali n. sp. The systematics of a group of taxa close to Pyrgopolon de Montfort, 1808 is revised, in particular the subgenera Pyrgopolon and Septenaria Regenhardt,1961.

Un tube de serpule de très grande taille - le plus grand connu des auteurs - du Cénomanien de Normandie est assigné à une nouvelle espèce Pyrgopolon (Septenaria) marechali n. sp., qui est décrite. La systématique d’un groupe de taxons proches de Pyrgopolon de Montfort, 1808, en particulier des sous-genres Pyrgopolon et Septenaria Regenhardt, 1961 est révisée.
