In this paper Lycastonereis indica Gen. nov., sp. nov. and Namalycastis fauveli sp. nov. belonging to the family Nereidae collected from the estuarine localities of Orissa, India, are described. The differentiating characters of N. jauveli with the other reported species of the genus are discussed
