During several studies of benthic marine fauna from off Cuba and from off the Canary Islands, material belonging to two undescribed species of the genus Pisione Grube, 1857 (Pisionidae: Polychaeta) was examined. P. wolfi n. sp. from Cuba is characterized by having both long- and short-bladed compound chaetae, short dorsal cirri on all chaetigers, undivided neuropodial lobes, non-protruding notoaciculae, and two pairs of successive male copulatory organs bearing one glandular papilla. P. guanche n. sp. collected off the Canary Islands is characterized by having short dorsal cirri on all chaetigers except the second, divided neuropodial lobes, only short-bladed compound chaetae, protruding notoaciculae and five to eight successive male copulatory organs.
