Nomenclatural changes are made based on type material and specimens collected during the Southern California Outer Continental Shelf Program. Anobothrus occidentalis is reassigned to Sosane; A. trilobatus is moved to Eclysippe. Amage longibranchiata is placed in Mexamage and A. scutata in Paramage on the basis of anterior anatomy. Sufficient differences exist between Amphisamytha bioculata and the type species, A. japonica, to warrant erecting a new genus Mooresamytha, for the California species. Lysippe annectens is also placed in a new genus, Paralysippe.
