Etymology named songkhlaensis after the Songkhla Sea. Unfortunately the adjectival suffix is incorrect for gender agreement as the genus is neuter and the species name should have been songkhlaense [details]Spelling the species name should have been songkhlaense for agreement with the neuter genus, Sphaerodoridium.
