Status Status disputed. Nogueira et al (2013) and Lavesque et al (2020) place Polycirrus-group species (for many decades ranked as a subfamily in Terebellidae) at full family rank based on morphology, whereas Stiller et al (2020) reduced subfamily Polycirrinae to tribe Polycirrini, based on molecular and other evidence.
