Spelling Knox (1960) combined a masculine noun, 'cirrus' to form the compound specific name. He did not use a commonly used feminine adjectival ending which would have been 'cirrata', and thus the compound 'curticirrata', to match Eunice which is undoubtedly feminine. Thus 'curticirrus' is here treated as if a noun in apposition and thus unchanging, although it is likely Knox simply made a mistake in forming the name. [details]
