Editor's comment The source of the first recombination of Vermicularia concava J. Sowerby, 1814 in Mollusca to Rotularia concava in Annelida has not yet been found. There is a large literature on Vermicularia (Mollusca) and on Rotularia (Annelida) and evidently uncertainty continued for decades.on whether particular taxa belonged to one or the other fossil group [details]
