New combination Smith et al (2025) present a new combination, description, molecular data, and neotype. Previously Nerine capensis McIntosh was a synonym of Scolelepis squamata, and apparenlty hadn't ever been used as a valid Scolelepis species. See Nerine capensis record for the neotype details as neotypes are always to replace the holotype of the original combination. [details]
