Diagnosis Original diagnosis (Pillai, 1970): Tube sinistral. Thorax with 3 setigers. Collar setae with a finlike basal portion. Sickle-shaped setae absent in thorax. Development of embryos takes place in the tube. This genus differs from Laeospira [ = Spirorbis sensu restricto according to Pillai, but that would be nominal subgenus Spirorbis (Spirorbis) and doesn’t need a further name] in lacking sickle-shaped setae in the thorax..  [details]
