Editor's comment An authentication source for this apparent and obviously incorrect usage of Syllis capensis McIntosh, 1885 has yet to be found. Langerhans (1879) presented his Typosyllis subgenus names incorrectly written as 'Typosyllis (Syllis)' but this name must have been published at a later date than 1885 (if indeed it exists) [details]
