Diagnosis "Prostomium not protruding beyond eyes; 5 antennae, the median one reduced to a crest; 2 globular eyes. Proboscis short, cylindrical, with 2 cirriform lateral papillae. Three pairs of tentacular cirri. No rudimentary parapodia. Parapodia without terminal appendage, with projecting acicula. Dorsal cirri reniform, ventral cirri lanceolate. Segmental glands small, setae capillary, simple." (Støp-Bowitz, 1991: 266).  [details]
