Diagnosis Leidy (1855) "Body cylindrical, narrowed posteriorly; no lateral pinnae; segments numerous; those anteriorly furnished with a few, simple, cylindrical, lateral tentaculae; anterior segments with four rows of simple setae in fascicles; succeeding few segments with two rows of simple setre, and two rows of cochleariform podal spines; posterior segments with four rows of cochleariform spines.
