Etymology The species is named in honour of Professor Tohru Uchida (b. Hamamatsu, Japan, 24 August 1897 - d. ?Hokkaido, Japan, 27 October 1981), of the Zoological Institute, Faculty of Science, Hokkaido Imperial University (see short biography HERE). [details]
Habitat Gray mud at about 9 meters (ca. 5 fathoms). [details]
Type locality Pacific Ocean, Japan, Hokkaido, Akkeshi (geocoordinates not provided, estimated with gazetteer to be approximately lat. 43.048º, long. 144.856º), from gray mud at about 5 fathoms (= about 9 m). [details]
Type material Probably at the Invertebrate Collection of the Hokkaido University Museum (ICHUM), Japan, where the polychaete collection of Dr. Shiro Okuda is deposited. [details]
