Type material According to the USNM data portal, that museum holds a specimen also from the type locality, USNM 55187, and labelled syntype of Aphroditella mongolica . Perhaps it is a dissected part from a ZMA syntype? Hutchings & McRae (1993) were unaware of the USNM "type" material but the data portal did not exist in 1993. [details]
