Distribution Southeast Pacific Ocean: Chile (Ainco, near Pargua). Known only from the type locality. [details]
Etymology The specific epithet homosetosa is composed by the Greek prefix homo-, meaning 'same', and the Latin adjective setosa, feminine of setosus and meaning 'hairy' or 'bristly', and seems to refer to the fact that in spite of having different lengths, the blades of the composite chaetae have all the same shape.
