Taxonomy Gibbs (1969: 454) suggests that Lepidasthenia sibogae Horst (1917) from the East Indies and Perolepis regularis Ehlers (1908) taken off the East African coast may be synonyms of Lepidasthenia stylolepis Willey in Lloyd, 1907, but he does not include them in his formal synonymy. [details]
