recognised as an Aphroditiformia, maybe the same as Hermadion fragile Claparède, 1868: "J'ai rencontré de nouveau celle Annélide une dizaine de fois [à Naples] el je me sens toujours plus disposé à y reconnaître le singulier ver décrit par Delle Chiaje sous le nom de Lysidice communis. Delle Chiaje aura eu sous les yeux un individu ayant perdu tous ses élylres, sauf ceux de la première paire, et la plupart des cirres dorsaux. Son dessinateur aura faussement reconstitué l'animal en attribuant à chaque pied un long cirre dorsal. Celte hypothèse est sans doute un peu hardie, mais il est au moins évident que la prétendue Lysidice est un Aphroditien."

Identification Lysidice communis is generally thought to be a scale worm, so it is not strictly indeterminable as placed by Pettibone. It is a misidentification. Putignano et al (2026) believe it is a drawing of Subadyte pellucida (Ehlers, 1864). They say it should be considered a nomen nudum, but probably there is no advantage in doing so, and they themselves did recognize it. [details]
