Identification Lysidice communis is generally thought to be a scale worm, so it is not strictly indeterminable as placed by Pettibone. It is a misidentification. Putignano et al (2026) believe it is a drawing of Subadyte pellucida (Ehlers, 1864). They say it should be considered a nomen nudum, but probably there is no advantage in doing so, and they themselves did recognize it. [details]Unreviewed
