Etymology The specific epithet simpliseta is composed by the Latin adjective simpli, form of simplus and meaning 'simple', and the Latin noun seta, alternative form of saeta and meaning 'bristle', and seems to make reference to the presence of only simple chaetae. [details]
Habitat Amongst algae on intertidal rocky shores. [details]
Reproduction Schizogamy by anterior scissiparity behind chaetiger 13. Female stolon (Sacconereis) with swimming chaetae between chaetiger 7-17 and dorsal cirri from chaetiger 6-15. [details]
