Etymology The specific epithet magnoculata is formed by the Latin words magno, inflection of magnus and meaning 'large' or 'great', and oculata, feminine of oculato and meaning 'having eyes', and refers to the presence of 4 very big eyes, one pair on each side of the prostomium. [details]
