From editor or global species database
Depth range 9 m. [details]

Distribution Pacific Ocean, Peru (Isla Santa, near Chimbote).  [details]

Etymology The specific epithet parapionosylliiformis, formed by the name of the syllid genus Parapionosyllis and the Latin combining form -iformis, meaning 'having the form of', refers to the morphological similarity of the new taxon with the species belonging of the genus Parapionosyllis.  [details]

Habitat Sludge.  [details]

Spelling The unusual double ii in 'parapionosylliiformis' is the correct spelling as in the original description. Hartmann-Schröder writes the species name three times, each with a double ii. Usages with a single i (as in the recombination into Parapionosyllis of Verdes, Aguado & San Martin, 2013) are incorrect subsequent spellings. [details]

Type locality Pacific Ocean, Peru, Isla Santa, Bahía de Coishco (= Coisco), north of Chimbote (geocoordinates not provided, estimated with gazetteer to be approximately lat. -9.030, long. -78.674).  [details]
