Etymology The specific epithet macrothoracicus is composed by the prefix of Greek origin macro-, meaning 'large' or 'long', and the Latin adjective of Greek origin thoracicus, meaning 'thoracic' or 'relating to thorax', and refers presumably to the ''swollen thorax'' of the species. [details]
