Status Jirkov (2001: 479) Jirkov includes several genera under Hypania, and clearly labels Hypania romijni as a new combination (transferred from Alkmaria), with accompanying photo figures of uncini and a drawing of the head. Later Jirkov (2011, 2026) repeats the synonymy of Alkmaria into Hypania, but without further details. There has apparently been little investigation of the taxonomy of Hypania or Alkmaria since 2001 [details]
