Spelling The original species name spelling used by Grube was 'chefocensis', despite his presenting the collection locality name as Chefoo, and in the same article referring to Luidia chefooensis. Later authors have, without comment, used 'chefooensis', not 'chefocensis'. Most likely 'chefocensis' is a printer's error, but it is retained here to record the original spelling, and to note it is a lapsus. Zoological Record for Vermes (Lutken, in vol 13 for 1876) records the spelling as 'chefooensis', although this is not what is printed. [details]
