Identification Misidentification. The species has five prostomial appendages, while the genus Lysidice has only three. Fauvel (1923) suggested it could be a juvenile of Marphysa. "Lysidice multicirrata CLAPARÈDE.- L'auteur lui attribuant 5 antennes, ce n'est sûrement, pas une Lysidice, mais peut-être une jeune Marphysa." (Fauvel, 1923 p. 451). Putignano et al (2026: 335) repeat that it is "most likely belonging to a different genus" but without noting the earlier authors doubts on its membership of Lysidice. [details]Unreviewed
