Taxonomy According to Knight-Jones (1978: 237) "Other sinistral tube incubating genera lack such processes and may be grouped in another new subfamily, the Paralaeospirinae, comprising Paralaeospira Caullery & Mesnil, Eulaeospira Pillai and Metalaeospira Pillai." Rzhavsky et al (2013) reduced this subfamily to a tribe, the Paralaeospirini. [details]
