Etymology The specific epithet oculeus is a Latin adjective meaning 'full of eyes', and refers to the presence of small prostomial eyespots, densely packed in two horizontal rows at each side of the basal part of the prostomium. [details]
Habitat Amongst dead coral rubble of patch reefs, at subtidal depths. [details]
Type locality Australia, Queensland, Great Barrier Reef, Lizard Island, Big Vicki's Reef (14º41'10''S, 145º26'32''E). [details]
