Nomenclature Lévi & Lévi (1983b) mentioned this genus name as a probable junior synonym of Paracornulum. However, no previous description or species bearing this name had been published and thus it is a nomen nudum. Lévi (personal communication) explained to Hooper (2002), that he intended this for the South African species Paracornulum coherens, but changed his mind, and subsequently omitted to delete the name from the New Caledonian manuscript.
