From editor or global species database
Taxonomy Erected by de Laubenfels (1936: 110) for Amphilectus armatus sensu Swartschewsky, 1906, which was a junior homonym of Amphilectus armatus (Bowerbank) Vosmaer, 1880. De Laubenfels assumed this to be a different species from Clathria (Microciona ) armata, but Hooper (1996: 219) assigned both to the synonymy of C. (M.) armata. The occurrence of this species in the White Sea needs further confirmation. [details]
