Identification Pattanayak (2006) synonymized this with Pericharax heterorhaphis (=P.orientalis), but gave no comments. Van Soest & De Voogd (2015) rejected this synonymization. For the time being the species is accepted as the descriptiuon shows clear differences with P. orientalis[details]
