From editor or global species database
Specimen Ridley & Dendy (1886, 1887) record this species from two very distant localities, Philippines and Brazil, the latter with a question mark. Later records of the species are all from the Indian and Pacific Oceans, not from the Atlantic Ocean. It is here assumed that the specimen from 'Bahia?'is very likely mislabeled. [details]
