Classification According to Lowry & Myers, 2017 the placement of the family Archaeoscinidae in the Scinoidea is contentious. It differes from all other Scinoidea in having mandibular palps. I was previously placed in the Family Archaeoscinoidea by Vinogradov, Volkov & Semenova (1982) and Zeidler (pers comm) believes the family should be placed in the Lanceolidae. [details]
