Diagnosis Corallum turbinate, with a rounded base and elliptical in cross section; GCD up to 11 mm; theca imperforate but externally pitted; costae serrate, originating by trifurcation; septa hexamerally arranged in 4 or more cycles up to 58 septa; pali present before all but last septal cycle; columella papillose to spongy. [details]

Remark This genus and family was monographed by Cairns (1997), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology; see also Filkorn (1994). The genus is monotypic, the sole species known from very few specimens. [details]
