Remark This genus and family was monographed by Cairns (1997), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Monotypic, and known with certainty from only 1 specimen. Based on re-investigation of the type material, Baron-Szabo (2008, p. 82) grouped the genus Laminocyathus with the genus Alveolocyathus. [details]
