Comparison The genus is incomparable in its fibrous microstructure of septa and wall to other cerioid corals. [details]

Description Microstructure of the type species described and figured in Cuif 1976:129,text-fig.18, pl.14,fig.1,2. [details]

Diagnosis Cerioid, calices prismatic. Endotheca dissepimental. Increase by division with dividing wall initiated by septa. The wall with a mid-line, its stereome composed of fascicles of fibres. Radial elements originating from particular structural elements of the wall (thecal fascicles). Peripheral part of the radial element, named intermediate zone, shows a row of small centers at the middle. The remainder part, or septal zone, divided into segments each having mid-septal line and lateral fibres poorly differentiated into the fascicles. [details]

Remark Only one species is known. [details]
