Additional information Again declared new in Eichwald (1868, Lethaea Rossica, 2: 455). Vokes (1980, Genera of the Bivalvia: 61) has a separate entry for "Ctenostreon Bayle, 1878" [Explication de la carte géologique de la France, 4, Atlas, 1: pl. 124], but there is no reason to suspect that Bayle intended to establish a new name.
