Diagnosis Authors: "Nipponerilla gen. nov. is diagnosed by a combination of the following morphological characters: nine segments. Body cigar shaped; segments VII–IX reduced in width and length compared to preceding segments. Prostomium with three long cylindrical antennae and a pair of relatively long, straight palps. Compound chaetae in all segments. Gonochoristic; males with two pairs of spermioducts opening ventrally in segments VII and VIII. [details]Grammatical gender Gender not stated. Nerilla is feminine so it must be feminine also [details]
