Description Massive plocoid subcerioid corallum with a very narrow peritheca. Intra and intercalicinal increase. No holotheca, but equal granulated costae. Corallite polygonal. Radial elements compact costo-septa, free or anastomosed straight to curved, rather constant in thickness or attenuated. Costae often confluent. Distal edge with equal regular teeth, lateral faces are covered with ornamentation in the pennular style with a low relief, with pennular rims turned upward and without clear alternation from a septum to the neighbouring one. Some ghosts of microstructure with a mid septal white line capable of dichotomy. No pali. Hexameral symmetry possible in regular calices, bilateral symmetry common characterised by the curvature of septa. Endotheca present, columella often styliform sometimes parietal, synapticules present, the wall could be a synapticulotheca (or a paratheca). [details]
