A new species Microcotyle argenticus is described here from the gills of the fish Pampus argenticus of Karachi coast. Body is elongated, slender, divided into anterior small and narrow portion while middle and posterior portions are long and wide, mouth is ventroterminal. Pharynx is muscular. Intestinal crura extend to haptor. Testes are twelve in number, situated in the posterior portion of the body. Ovary is tube-like, anterior to the testes. Haptor is not distinctly marked off from body proper and is with two symmetrical rows of clamps.
